On 7 November 2026, MEXC confirmed that USDT withdrawals were temporarily paused on several blockchain networks. The exchange's support team blamed routine network maintenance and said pending withdrawals would be processed automatically once the affected channels reopened. An independent tracker showed only six of 18 monitored USDT networks available, with TRC20, Solana, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum and Polygon down, while Ethereum ERC20 stayed open.
Before you submit anything, open the withdrawal screen in the MEXC app and check the status of your network. If it shows Suspended, do not keep resubmitting the same withdrawal. The app lists estimated recovery dates: Tron TRC20 on 21 November, BNB Smart Chain, Solana, Polygon and Aptos on 13 November, and Plasma on 8 November. Those dates are estimates, not guarantees, and network availability can change fast, so verify the live status at the moment you withdraw. Withdrawal delays happen on other platforms too, and this guide to Binance withdrawal timing explains how to read them.
According to the tracker, Ethereum ERC20 remained available while the other major routes were down. That does not mean it is the right choice for every trader: ERC20 gas fees are usually higher than TRC20, so a small withdrawal can lose a noticeable share to fees. Weigh the fee against the wait. If the amount is small and the fee eats most of it, waiting for your usual network to reopen is often the cheaper move. Do not pay anyone who offers to expedite your withdrawal. There is no official expedite channel, and accounts offering one on Telegram or social media are almost always scams. Do not panic-sell your USDT into another asset just to move it, and do not send funds to a random address someone shares as a workaround. Keep screenshots and transaction records of any pending withdrawal, and follow only MEXC's official support channels for updates.
The pause came a day after the US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network issued an order on 6 November identifying MEXC Global as a financial institution of primary money laundering concern, citing at least $16.7 billion in transactions linked to suspected illicit activity between May 2021 and May 2026. The order tells US financial institutions to stop moving funds to or from MEXC, effective 30 days after publication in the Federal Register, a date not yet set. MEXC has not linked the withdrawal pauses to the FinCEN action, and the two may be unrelated. For traders, the practical point is the same either way: verify the route, verify the fee, and keep records. Payout delays are not unique to crypto, as this prop-firm payout explainer shows.
A withdrawal pause is a reminder not to keep all trading funds on one exchange. Spread balances across venues you trust, use withdrawal whitelists where available, and move size you are not actively trading into a wallet you control. That way a maintenance window on one exchange never locks your whole stack.
